The Base – National Living Wage increase

Dear Parent/Carer,

The government will be increasing the National Living Wage in April 2020 (see rates below) which will result in an increase in staffing costs for The Base.

25 years old and over: April 2019 (current rate): £8.21; April 2020: £8.72
21 to 24 years old: April 2019 (current rate): £7.70; April 2020: £8.20
18 to 20 years old: April 2019 (current rate): £6.15; April 2020: £6.45
Under 18 years old: April 2019 (current rate): £4.35; April 2020: £4.55
Apprentice: April 2019 (current rate): £3.90; April 2020: £4.15

The Committee have agreed to absorb some of increase and only raise the cost of the after school session, with the breakfast club remaining at its current price. This ensures that the Base remains affordable and in line with other local out of school clubs.

Breakfast Club: £4.50 (current rate)

After School: £7.30 (15p increase)

The increase will take effect after the Easter Break.
