Letter from Chair of Governors
Dear Parents/Carers,
Firstly, I hope that you are all safe and well.
Obviously school is closed and you are all dealing with the new reality of being at home with your children and trying to fulfil their educational needs on top of everything else. I know that the teachers prepared packs to give to the children last week and we are working on putting links to useful sites on our website as soon as possible. No doubt on social media you will have already seen lots of the online education that is available.
Whilst your child’s education is important, please bear in mind that we don’t expect you to become teachers. There is no blueprint for the situation we are in so I think that we all just have to do the best we can and do whatever is right for our children – you know them better than anyone, so if your child needs a timetable and lessons that’s great but your child might just need cuddles and stories. Either way, we will be at school when this is all over and will look forward to seeing the work the children have been doing.
We are rightly proud of all our children at East Ayton School and we look forward to seeing them back in school when this situation is over.
Take care,
Sam Hay
